   I am trying to get the payment side of things up and running. so far all I want to do is get the paypal payment gateway open.

   this is my first time trying to get payments working so I have very little knowledge of how wordpress works and how websites work in general.

   i have my personal paypal account (not a business account) and copied and pasted my login (to paypal) email into the payment gateway section, update try to purchase an item on the website push pay, then this error comes up:
   The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount..

   can anyone help with this as if this can not be rectified then I dont want to waste my time filling the website with products etc.

   Hi Tika,

   Can you tell us which plugin you are using? There are quite a few plugins that can connect to PayPal. It sounds like an issue with the product setup, not the login details. If you're using the "WordPress Simple Paypal Shopping Cart" plugin, I did find some documentation that should be helpful for learning how to setup and use the plugin:

   hi,
   I'm using woothemes, woocommerce version 1.1.2, and enabling paypal standard in the gateway, i'm not really sure if this all i should be doing,,

   I would recommend walking through the User Guide and making sure your product is setup correctly:

   Because this can be a complex plugin for a beginner, if you're not comfortable with this particular plugin, there are other e-commerce plugins you may feel more comfortable using. Just a couple of suggestions if you do decide to change (but feel free to search for others too):
