Getting a folder listing, index.php not displaying automatically (5 posts)

    Greetings,

I just got finished with a WordPress installation, everything seemed to work fine until the end - instead of displaying the index.php automatically, I get a directory listing at my site. I installed it in a subdirectory on my webpage.

I browsed the forums and saw that I should make an .htaccess file in the same folder as my wordpress install. I did that, but it didn't seem to help.

For reference, here is my page - http://nytech-ease.com/wedding/
And to confirm the page works correctly - http://nytech-ease.com/wedding/index.php

    Thanks!

you need to do more than simply make an .htaccess -- you need to edit it as well

    check the second result:

now that you have created and edited an htaccess, re-read everything again, paying very close attn...

you need to do more than simply make an .htaccess ...

Do you see the difference between what you have done, and what you read?

Duh. I'm a bit slow tonight.

Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.
