   Hi all,

   My provider updated its servers to a freeBSD 6.2 / amd64 / PHP 5.2.4 system. Now wordpress 2.3 doesn't get translated anymore. I already checked the solution around the net (e.g. gettext.php $MAGIC1 on line 117...) but it doesn't change anything.

   Has somebody else run into those problems lately and found a solution for it?

   I had the same problem on Linux/amd64/PHP 5.2.3. This solution helped: http://faq.wordpress-deutschland.org/wieso-zeigt-wordpress-trotz-sprachdatei-englischen-text-an/

   (i.e. just remove the & 0xFFFFFFFF's)

   or you can find a solution her at WP trac - it solved my problem. You can d/l a edited gettext from my homepage
