   How can I obtain a category or page ID other than looking at the URL?

   My problem is I need IDs for template attributes, plugins etc. But if I'm using custom permalinks... I have to turn the permalinks off, check the URL, and then turn the permalinks back on every time just to get the ID. Is there some other way of finding it?

   And is there any way to set the ID to a custom value? or re-order them?

   Ah ha! That plugin now has a spot among my top ten favorites.

   Sucks that there isnt a way to do it without a plugin... But I'm happy to know one exists. It'll make my life much easier.
