Get the titles of the posts on the next page (3 posts)

    Hey

    I'm working on a theme, and I'd like to add a feature which shows the titles of the posts on the next page of a blog. It's sort of hard to explain, so I think this illustration will do best:

    I can do the Javascript just fine, but I have no idea how I would get the titles of the posts (ideally with a link to them). If anyone has an idea of what I can do, I'd appreciate the help :D

    Seems you could use the type=postbypost parameter with the template tag, wp_get_archives().

    For reference, there is a dropdown box example in the wp_get_archives() article.

    Hmmm... not exactly what I'm looking for. I've figured out that I'm going to need to access the database using the $wpdb class. I just don't know what to query.
