Get the dreaded "Error establishing a database connection"

    for the first time, i’m trying to do a WP install in a sub folder – done it in a domains root folder often….

    did it the same too as always, and when I run install.php, using the proper path to same, I get the “Error establishing a database connection” error…

    yet the dbase is up and running fine, used the correct credentials too…

    am I missing something with an install into a sub folder?

    Nope. It’s no different to a root install. Check your database details with your hosts.

    did just that…it’s only Tuesday and my fingers must think it’s Friday already…just typo’d the wrong pw in is all….

    sigh….gosh I hate typing!!!!
