[resolved] Get rid of META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW" (8 posts)

When first setting up the site, didn't want it followed. Now I do. I've gone into Privacy Settings - checked Allow search engines to index this site. But that doesn't get rid of the noindex nofollow meta. How do I do that?

Check your theme's header.php template file. That line was either added to the HEAD section manually or it is being added by a plugin.

It's not in the header file. Already checked there. I'm thinking it might be being created by Yoast.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

That should help you to confirm that it's a plugin issue.

Thanks for your help. Found the answer in the theme.
