Hi I am struggling to get something very simple to work. Using wordpress (2.9) visual editor I am attempting to add 6 images to a page, 3 at the top and 3 underneath, each linking to their respective own page. (For a butchers website, beef pic to link to page with beef prices, pork pic to link to pork prices page etc.)
Trouble is, I am adding pics to a gallery, thats fine, then changing the link URL to the page I want it to be i.e. http://appledorefarmshop.co.uk/meat-products/beef. I save the changes after this but then it just reverts back to the old link URL, it is driving me mad I have been trying for 5 hours now! Please help me, I have searched for another thread but to no avail...

Try inserting the images individually - using the Image Url field to enter the url you want.

I am having exactly the same problem, trying to link thumbnails from the gallery to a page within the site rather than the image url. Driving me mad also. It sometimes works when the image is inserted into the page individually, but not in the gallery. there's got to be a quick fix for this, seems very basic but a serious shortcoming.

what is frustrating with this is that the option appears available, i.e. that for each image in the editor there is the option to "enter a URL" or click above buttons for presets. I keep entering the URL, which is a link to a WP page within my site, and the change never saves after I hit the update button. As I can achieve this by inserting images individually into the page, but not in a gallery, there must be a simple fix. Please please please can we have a fix for this? From looking at the forum, i'm not the only one looking to do this...
