Is it possible to subscribe to a particular forum, so I can get an email whenever a new post is added in the forum?

Use the RSS feed. No, there is no email, just feeds.

also i think that you would have less more duplicated posts if wen a person asks something they receive a notification by email.
my 2 cents...
