Support » Installing WordPress » Get "already installed" error message when I try to install

Having deleted an old version of WordPress, I have just tried to install a new version 3.1 but get the error message:
    “Already Installed
You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.”
I guess I shouldn’t have deleted the old version but would appreciate any advice as to what to do now.
The database I am using is shared with my forum, so I don’t want to delete it. Also there are no more databases available from my host company unless I pay for an upgrade.
