Geo My WP in China

    Hi,
    I’ve long been searching for a plugin like this, especially two of your paid add-ons.
    However, before I install Geo My WP and purchase the add-ons, I need to confirm two things.

    1. I am in China and most of the users in my buddypress site are in China. You know, Google Map is blocked or at most very unstable here in China. That being said, does GMW have an option to use maps other than Google map as its base map?

    2. If not, can you please send me the prior version of GMW which supported Bing map but you removed due to performance issue and bugs? It would be nice if you could let me know what the bugs were so that I can be more catious with my GMW usage.

    and what would be the highest version with Bing map support?

    Hi Dongsan,

    1) At the moment GEO my WP works only with Google. I have been wanting to add support of another maps provider but haven’t had the time for that yet as it I will take some good amount of work.

    2) The version supported Bing Maps was a tryout . However, it did not use Bing to display map. The only thing it did is geocode the address when saving a new location. The reason for that was that users would get OVER_QUERY_LIMIT when using Goggle at bing was there to try and back it up. So unfortunately the version supported Bing won’t help you as well as the plugin was still relaying on Google to display maps.
