Geo Mashup plugin not working with TDO Mini Forms (6 posts)

    Geo Mashup isn't working with TDO Mini Forms since it got updated.
    Last working version that gets along with TDO is 1.2.10
    On any newer versions the map doesn't load.

    Anyone gonna update the widget code in TDO Mini Forms for Geo Mashup?

    I spent about 3 days trying to figure out how to get the latest version of Geo Mashup (1.3) to work with the TDO/Geo mashup widget (0.13.7).

    Eventually fixed it so the map appeared correctly in the form and
    a user could place a marker. But it simply wouldn't post to WordPress. So it seems that the Geo Mashup widget in tdo only works with geo mashup 1.2 at the moment.

    Really frustrating but i got around it by insisting that all posts had to be moderated and part of the moderation was to assign a map marker in the Wp backend.

    It seems that the guy that did the Geo Mashup Tdo widget is different
    to either of the plugin authors...

    I'm happy to pass on the code that I amended to get as far as I did, if that helps...

    I have just installed TDO 0.13.7 and Geo Mashup v 1.2.10 together because it seemed from all the stuff I've been reading that these two versions would work together - but they don't! The map won't show up on the form - what am I doing wrong or am I just flogging a dead horse? If so is there another resource like the TDO mini forms + map? I want visitors to be able to upload a picture & locate it on a map/type in an address field that I then moderate. I am quite new to all of this and am struggling. Big thanks in advance!

    There are a lot of posts about this on the TDO forums and also the GeoMashup email list. It is caused by significant changes to the code in the latest GeoMashup release.

    However it is working fine for me using WordPress 3.0, GeoMashup 1.2.10 and TDO 0.13.9.

    Lumpysimon: Yes, it will work fine as long as you stick with the version of Geo Mashup that you state.

    Unfortunately, that's not very sustainable!
