If a customer doesn’t renew or cancels their paid membership (subscription), does the plugin automatically change their membership type? Or, do I have to do it manually in the back end? I am developing a information website which is free for everyone but I am also having an advanced level which has access to premium articles, pages, videos, etc.

Really great plugin by the way. Can’t wait to try it and thank you for sharing this with the community… that’s what makes WordPress so great.

If they cancel through your site, it will remove their level. If they cancel through PayPal/etc, it should also update your site to cancel their level.

If they miss payments/etc, and the subscription at the gateway is cancelled, you are sent an email and have to manually change their level. For large sites this isn’t practical. We have some ways to automate those cancellations… it may make it as an option in a future version, but in the meantime, you’ll need to signup for support at http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/pricing/ to get help setting this up on your site.
