1. I’m already working with Jeremy Herve regarding Responsive design rendering issues on Jetpack Carousel. It still is buggy on common place devices where text will get cutoff on the bottom of the viewport.
    2. Site owner of a site I recently launched suggest that there should be some sort of tooltip text, text indication, or smaller arrows indicating a swipe for mobile devices to make it clear what the user should do. Right now, the arrows disappear on smaller devices, which makes sense in terms of real estate on the screen, but makes the UX less clear.
    3. The behavior on mobile can be a little unpredictable. If your finger touches an image imprecisely, especially near the edge of an image you may exit the carousel window entirely or or it may rotate into another photo in an unexpected way. The X to close the window should be bigger, especially on mobile. Also, when you click on a thumbnail of an image, it may not open the carousel. It largely has to do with whether the page on mobile has finished loading or not.
    4. SEO friendly links. Google Analytics doesn’t even record the links being hit at all.
    5. Is photon integrated with the carousel?
    6. Social share links within the carousel, especially things like Pinterest
    7. Carousel should take on the same font-family as the theme or have an interface where it can be easily changed.

I’ve added your remarks to the internal ticket I created following our conversation in the other thread.

SEO friendly links. Google Analytics doesn’t even record the links being hit at all.

Each one of your images lives on its own on an attachment page like this one:

When crawling your site, Google sees and can follow links to these attachment pages.

Is photon integrated with the carousel?

Yes. If you enable Photon, all carousel images will be served via Photon.

Social share links within the carousel, especially things like Pinterest

Other Jetpack users have suggested this in the past. You can follow our progress on this here:

I took note of your suggestion here:
