[gallery link="file"] no longer works after upgrade to 2.9 (2 posts)

    Hi All,

    i've upgraded to version 2.9 yesterday but unfortunately the upgrade somehow disabled or even wrecked the [gallery link="file"] function. All my linked galleries are gone and any text in the posting that is underneath the [gallery.... line is also gone. At least, gone in the posting that is displayed on the website.

    If i go into the admin console and edit the posting i do get to see the lines.

    Postings that only have a [gallery.... line don't show at all on the frontpage.

    Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

    Try using this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gallery-plus/
    It actually works with WP 2.9.2 and fixes the problem with thumbnails linking.
