I've been doing some testing with WordPress and WordPress-MU and comparing them to other Blog programs out there. I've tried NextGen as a Gallery Plugin but that just seems to be a way to handle the images, show last image and random images.
Is there an actual gallery plug-in that lets you manage images but have them in a gallery display, linked to your blog, broken up in Albums, sub-albums, etc?

Not sure whether you want a standalone program that integrates well like gallery2, but this plugin makes the gallery show up in your blog as a page:

We are using wpg2 on our site here...
Perhaps it'll give you an idea to work with. It took a while to get it set up and working properly within WP; but seems to work now.
