Gallery images not disappearing after I delete the gallery

I’m new to wordpress and trying to set up a portfolio website. I’ve been creating pages with galleries in them, but I wanted to make some changes to one of the galleries, so I deleted the whole gallery and uploaded new images. Initially, it looks like the first gallery images have disappeared from my page, but when I click on a tile for a larger view of an image, ALL of my images are still visible from both galleries in the tiles at the bottom of the page.

I’m not sure how to fix this because I’m not comfortable enough to look through the code without feeling overwhelmed, and this seems like it’s a new problem, because I did the same thing last week and this didn’t happen. My site isn’t live yet so sorry, but I can’t link to anything.

Please help!
