• I just want to make sure it’s not my installation or that I’m the only person with this problem.

I recently launched a review site and I need to publish a number of future dated entries (as I don’t have time during the week to update the blog).

I just finished publishing a number of reviews, and all but one is live on the site – however, the categories are still displaying in the sidebar (where wp_list_cats was used) although hide empty is set to true.

They are saying they each have 1 posts (which is true), but none of the posts are showing yet and when someone clicks on the category, they’re greeted with the ‘sorry, no posts matched your criteria’ error.

Is this a bug with WordPress 2.0 because it didn’t happen with WP 1.5?

Thanks and any advice is appreciated.

  • Looks like a bug to me. The the wp-list-cats probably counts all posts instead of all published posts.

On the other hand, if the categories only have one post each ( unpublished ), the nasty “sorry, …” message will disappear, once you have a few more posts.

Thanks for chiming in petit. You’re right, the “sorry,…” will disappear as the posts are published, but I just found it odd and wanted to make sure I didn’t do something wrong.
