Hi Arne,
In your Google Sitemaps plugin, you have 'Rebuild sitemap if you change the content of your blog'. I am assuming that this means that whenever a post is added/modified, or when a comment is added, a new sitemap is created.
Why dont you have the option to only 'Rebuild sitemap if you change the content of your blog' when posts are added/modified? The blog admin doesn't mind the delay, but i would expect blog visitors would not like the added delay when they are posting new comments.
If I am making the wrong assumption, please let me know.
Thanks.
i think the best thing would be to contact the maker of the plugin , i'm not sure if he will read this post or no ...
so to be sure contact him directly ;)
Hi,
i prefer this forum to email because there are a lot of talented people here who might also help on many questions and share the solutions with others.
To your question: The sitemap gets only rebuild if you edit / delete / publish / unpublish a post. Adding or deleting a comment will not rebuild the sitemap.
Best regards,
Arne
Hi Arne,
Unfortunately, the sitemap on my blog gets rebuilt even when adding or deleting a comment. This is significantly increasing the time needed to post a comment. Can we somehow exclude comments? I don't mind the delay while publishing or editing a post.
