   hi there..

   i need some request here for the permalink, hope it acceptable for everyone..

   consider to wordpress user that using post url on their image link, i wanna give suggestion to the future permalink algorithm.. just algorithm, not code.. lol.. 'cause i'm not well enough to do it :D

   when i set permalink with html as the suffix, like this..
   http://example.com/here-is-the-post.html

   and then i click the attach under it that goes to..
   http://example.com/here-is-the-post.html/attachment-showed-up

   so what the need is remove the suffix when attachment on focus, like..
   http://example.com/here-is-the-post/attachment-showed-up

   even better if the permalink attachment followed by their own extension, as like showed below here..
   http://example.com/here-is-the-post/attachment-showed-up.jpg

   haha, maybe i just dreaming to have an algorithm like that but if it could possible the it's awesome.. :grin:

   You shouldn't be using .jpg as you're not linking to the IMAGE itself, but a page (so really it would be http://example.com/here-is-the-post/attachment-showed-up.html)

   But to that end, why not dump the .html to begin with? It doesn't do anything for you, SEO or visitor wise.

   yep i know it for sure if it's not seo.. i'm just curious :)

   You probably could sort that out, but without a solid use-case, you're going to be hard up to get any buy in :)
