Future of this plugin? (5 posts)

Since the Google Translate API "has been officially deprecated as of May 26, 2011" and "will be shut off completely on December 1, 2011" [http://code.google.com/apis/language/translate/overview.html] I was wondering if there is a future for this great plugin or whether we should all switch to the (less pretty) Google Translate Element in the next few months.

It would be great if some of the plugin creators could chime in here and share their plans, thanks!

Do not think there will be a future. Stopped working already months ago. Not even a popup anymore.
Real shame was the cleanest translator plugin there is. All others just do the whole blog, which messes with design. In my case the sidebars go under the content (pages/posts) area, instead of being a sidebar.

Still works like a charm for me on http://www.letterstotheisland.net/ -- haven't found a great replacement yet. The Google Translate element doesn't integrate as nicely into a site as the plugin does and seems to add more weight to the page (some users have reported an increase in page load time).
