   a fully functioning blog reduced itself to html text only. nothing was added and no changes were made user side.

   can i fix it without reloading the whole program and to lose the posts, formating and imaging?

   but it's looking for the stylesheet at

   http://www.vitalitymobilemassage.com/news/

   Check your settings for WordPress address and Blog address under Options - General.

   they are both as they were origionaly set:

   .../news/

   do you know what css sheet defines the top index. and of course, where?

   They need to look like this:

   http://vitalitymobilemassage.com/news/

   - actual URLs, not paths.

   If they used to work, and have stopped, then for some reason your site has stopped working with www in front of the domain name - that could be a setting in your host's control panel, or it may be that your host has changed something.

   The css files are defined in your theme - usually in header.php
