Functionality lost after migration

Hi,

I tried to install a copy of my wordpress site http://www.vasectomy.me.uk/cms on http://www.vasectomy.me.uk/wpt as a testing site before going live.

The site looks fine and all the database copies work fine. However, the functionality is completely gone. I cannot update plugins or try to install new ones “failed to create directory”. I cannot upload media etc.

I changed the links in the database using this tool http://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

Any idea what may create the issue and what I still need to change?
