    Hi,

    I am trying to create a Home Page with my photography website using the Black-letterhead theme. Now, keep in mind, I have little to no knowledge on HTML or CSS. I have found a few resources on the web on creating this full-width page. I created a new page template and got rid of the sidebar. Now, when it comes to altering the CSS Stylesheet, this is where I am stuck. I've tried a few different suggestions on the web but none seem to work. Upon looking at my home page, it seems to be utilizing the full width, but the pictures aren't centered and there are no margins on the page. The home page isn't set as my home just yet, it is called "home" on the menubar.

    My site's URL is http://www.somethinghdr.com

    Thanks in advance for any help. I could really use it!

    Try adding this CSS:

    #content-fullwidth{
    padding: 40px;
    }

    You can adjust the padding to suit - not sure if you want top / bottom

    The slideshow (it's a slideshow not images) is set to be 100% of your page so that won't center the slide images. You can try something like this (adjust to suit):

    .slideshow-wrapper {
    margin: 0 auto;
    width: 80%;
    }

    If you want your new home page to carry the same structure as other pages, you need to use the same HTML structure.
    View source your new home page and your correct structure page, compare the two. Your new home page uses different <div> elements and attribute values.

    Thanks so much! It worked perfectly with the margins. However, I still can't get the slideshow centered. Also, is there a way to get rid of the title, google + link, Facebook, and comment section? I am trying to make it look more look a home page :-)

    Thanks,
    Brad

    Got the margins set, is there anyway to get the slideshow centered, comment section deleted and facebook/google link deleted?

    Thanks everyone for the help!
