   I uploaded an image using FTP to the public_html folder of my site. However, when you try and load the image, I get the WordPress 404 Not Found page instead of showing the image. I've heard this is an issue with the .htaccess file, but I have no idea how to change things around to get it to work. Please let me know what I can do to fix this.

   The simplest fix I can come up with is to put the image in a sub directory. If you're trying to use the image inside WordPress, why not use the media manager?

   What happens when you call for it with an image tag?
