• I’ll try to keep this brief and thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

I am starting a new site, which is now setup and running relatively smoothly, save one VERY important issue. I have a handful of people writing on my site, all of whom I have created accounts for. However, none of them have posted yet.

Anyway, when I went to post my very first post tonight, it was posting under someone else’s account. Further, when I went to the bottom of the “new post” page, I tried to change the Author from the drop-down menu and my name did not appear there. When I go to the Users page, though, I am listed as an Administrator.

I don’t want to create a new acct either since it won’t let me use my name, which is necessary.

Do I need to do something to post under my name? Is there a reason that, as the site Admin/owner/creator, I can’t post?

Any and all help is welcomed.

    Thank you!

  • If you were logged in as someone else with less permissions (ie – author) you won’t be able to write a post as if it came from a user with higher permissions (ie – admin).

You need to login as the admin in order to be able to select the admin account or any other account.

That’s the thing, I am logged in as the Admin. The other writer was given an Author account just so he could write posts and that’s it. Yet I’m posting under his name while logged in as Admin.

I tried logging off and on, and it’s still saying I’m him.
