I find this all a bit too in depth. I don't know why some of it couldn't have been simplified. My problem is that I earlier published my first post which I was happy with. I did, however, want to add an excerpt. So I did that. I saved but did not hit publish. However, my earlier post is gone. I expected my excerpt to surround my post in some way--not wipe it out. Could someone direct me? Thank you.

Posted 5 years ago #If you go into back to your Manage Posts page, do you see your post in the lineup?
If yes, then click "Edit" and then look at the "post status" (one of the blue bars on the right--hit the plus sign and it toggles a menu).
If it's marked "Draft" or "Private", mark it as "Published" and then save your changes. I hope that solves the problem!
