• I installed customizr since few days and I’m enjoying the amazing features of this theme, but when i add more than photo to the slider in the front page the arrows don’t work at all and it shows only one image. I really need your support to solve this issue as i need the slider option in the front page.

also i tried many suggestions from some members here such as changing the size of the images and activating the navigation menu bar, but nothing work with me till now,

    Thanks in advance
    btw, my website is http://www.teketaka.com

  • No idea why, but the minified boostrap library is missing or corrupted in your instalation, therefore it never loads (from /wp-content/themes/customizr//inc/js/bootstrap.min.js).
You need to reinstall Customizr clean. As in: switch to another theme, delete Customizr folder, download and install Customizr from WP-repository, either by manual download or from themes install page.

@acub thanks for your suggestion, i followed your instructions and reinstalled customizr, but unfortunately it doesn’t work at all, still have the same prob,
Also i totally removed all the wordpress directories and installed them again but still have the same issue?!
I’m totally upset and hope to find a solution very soon

Another thing that could be causing this is plugin interaction. To bulk check all the plugins, temporary rename your plugins folder to _plugins through ftp, and check slider on first page. Note that you need to quickly restore your plugins folder name after the test, no matter what the test shows. If you go in the plugins page (dashboard) while the plugins folder is renamed, all your plugins will be automatically deactivated.

Now, if the test was positive (slider showed ok when plugin folder renamed), restore the plugins folder name and go to plugins page in admin. Deactivate all plugins and re-activate them one by one, checking slider after each activation, to find the culprit.

Dear Acub, many thanks for your suggestions and efforts, actually it did all what you informed me above and unfortunately nothing worked with me, I gave up and temporarily deactivated the slider from the home page until i find a good plugin that can insert slider in the front page (if you suggest me a plugin) this will be great.

Many thanks again & hope that the theme editor can discover and solve this issue in their next update.

I use WPPA as a secondary Slider/Carousel, works well for me.

Host of features that may seem complicated at first but worth pursuing.

@rdellconsulting thanks for the advise will try this plugin for sure, but only one last question, can i add a slider to my homepage easily using this plugin? or it is only available for other pages?

Very good question. Recommended for other Pages, would take some coding to replace the homepage.

mmmmmmm, since I’m not very clever using coding and not a professional one in this matter, I can assume that will not work with me and step by step tutorial is a must in this case (^_^).

Hope to find a suitable plugin that enable me to add a slider to homepage without adding codes or editing CSS files?! may be I’m dreaming!

Teketaka, something in your installation or your mods is preventing your bootstrap.min.js to load. Most probably something that uses a newer library of bootstrap.

It’s only logical that other things will break or are already broken in your installation, since the theme makes use of that library in more than one place, not just the slider.

Also, since you are the only user with this problem, you shouldn’t set your hopes too high for it to be fixed. At least one more person should have the same problem before anyone can compare your contexts and see what you have in common.

Tell us how to duplicate it and we’ll fix it. Until than, it will probably be tagged “most likely user error”.

@acub, I totally understand that this problem may be due to an error during installation or something went wrong ins some files, but I did all what I have to do by deleting all the wordpress files as well as the customizr theme and redownloaded them and installed them again from the beginning (but as you could see there wasn’t any good results).

What can prove that I didn’t set many hopes for the prob to be fixed is that if you checked my website, you can see clearly that I removed the slider from the frontpage and waiting to find a separated plugin that can add a slider to the homepage (if you have any info, this will be great).

Any way, the Customizr theme is amazing and has many good features and I enjoy using it.
