frontpage-slideshow causing html not to validate (2 posts)

Hi, I love this plugin, and am using it on a new site for a friend, but I am unable to validate the html.

I know it is the frontpage-slideshow plugin because when it is disabled the page validates. I've edited the default template.php to add in two missing ; in the statements in the html section, but the remaining problem seems to be caused by the // <![CDATA[ and // ]] > lines in frontpage-slideshow.php. The validator thinks there is a missing closing tag somewhere.

Anyone any ideas how I fix this? We want to go live with the site soon, and I don't like having invalid html, particularly on the home page.

Well… this is not what I call "invalid HTML"… and as you don't serve XHTML with the proper content-type (application/xhtml+xml) you don't need to be "straight valid" ans can safely remove those two lines…

I repeat : this is not important, at all.
