[resolved] Frontpage redirected to a post (4 posts)

    Hi,

I have a blog (http://www.physicaltherapystretchingexercises.com) which was running fine with the frontpage as the default post page. I only have the post page and a notice page, the rest of the content is categorized.

What's really weird is I made a post one day, "The Deadlift Checklist" and now the frontpage displays only that post. All the home/index URLs have the proper index address, but for some reason they're all redirected to this particular post.

I've looked at all the settings including the "Reading" options which is still set to the default "posts" as the frontpage. I've tried deleting the post and re-posting with the same result. While deleted, it's still redirected to where the post would've been but displays a "not found" error since it's been deleted.

I really have no idea what's going on here and would appreciate any help whatsoever.

    Thanks,
    Greg

Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    Good advice! That worked perfectly.

For future reference to others, the problem was caused by the "Redirection" plugin. Probably not the plugin's fault either, for some reason a redirection was added that wasn't supposed to be. Might've been me, but I don't remember doing so.

    Thanks again,
    Greg

Thank you, Greg & esmi! I had the same problem except that my home page was being re-directed to another page. I tried deleting the other page, etc., and nothing worked. Found this post. Immediately deactivated the Redirection plugin and everything is working fine now. I know that I didn't make any changes to Redirection.

    Thanks!
    Annette
