Seems like the link is broken, didn't noticed. Here is the release notice post: http://tareq.wedevs.com/2013/01/frontend-for-wp-project-manager-released/

You don't need to uninstall the project manager plugin. Installing the frontend plugin gives the project manager plugin to have frontend capability.

    Thanks for your reply,

so i have to use the front end using short codes? or by deafult it will work like a theme with entire functionality? please advice

    Thanks

You'll use it using shortcode. Insert shortcode in a page, projects will show up and you can use everything you could do in admin panel. You can either show all projects via the shortcode or a specific project.

Avatar works using the WordPress native get_avatar() function.

    Hello Tareq,

    Thanks for your reply

I have installed the backend plugin and found few major mistakes, will try to explain the best so you can fix them

    1. Project Manager Dashboard
    2. Click on any project
    3. Click on Todo in activity list
    4. it changes the Project selected in the header
    5. from there click on the Activity from the header
    6. It takes you to wrong page and showing wrong information instead of taking to activity page

Please let me know if you are not clear with my sentences

Project creation feature was not added in the frontend version. You've to create the projects from backend.

I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed. I didn't put that feature intentionally. Thought project display was the main concern. So it might come on a future release. Don't think it's a one time gig.

I am charging because It requires A LOTs OF DEVELOPMENT TIME to build this kinda of plugins.

Yeah, i understand and a happy to hear that you will put it in your future development, but with that feature there is no meaning for the front end plugin, its my personal opinion

Yes, PLEASE make Project Creation available in Front-End version - I will buy in a heartbeat when that feature becomes available.

Hi Tareq, installed your plugin today. It's fantastic. Exactly what I needed. I used basecamp at my old company and I was looking for exactly that.

Where do I find the shortcode? All I see in ACP is "Project Manager" and the two items below, "Projects & Settings".

    Thank you and great work.

I have a Booking Calendar Plugin for a Rentals Portal WP framework.

Every Registered User can create, modify, & delete their Posts (Rental listing) from this framework's Front End forms.

The Booking Calendar Plugin is administered in the default WordPress Admin pages.

The Admin sees the Plugin Booking Calendar Options after clicking the left navigation menu that says "Booking Calendar". The Admin can set various options for the Calendar that are then reflected as the master display options for all Calendars.

99% of WordPress plugins are meant to be solely administered by the Admin who always uses the WordPress Administration area.

Very few WordPress plugins ALSO have options for users other than the Admin or Super Admin roles to change and save. This particular Booking Calendar plugin has both the standard Admin settings, but a separate series of settings and options for Authors.

The USER when logged in to the Wp Admin view sees the same "Booking Calendar" in the left hand navigation Menu. When the User clicks this however, the User (Author role) sees a SUBSET of options to make their own calendars, name them, save them, modify them.

Then when each User edits or creates their own Posts the Visual Editor menu will display a dropdown selector to embed one of those calendars into their Post.

All of this, of course, is only seen inside Wp Admin.

Since the framework has a nice Front End for User to Submit and Edit their Posts, I would like to utilize this Plugin by "embedding the User interface" into the Rental Framework Front End forms.

Otherwise I have to create a link to the WP Admin area for logged in Users and then customize the Wp Admin view ALL to simply let them SEE the Booking Calendar and modify it for themselves, and make it look as much like the Front End form as possible. Doable, but clunky.

Is there a way that your Frontend Plugin can be modified to ALSO present the User Options of this Booking Calendar plugin inside the User Front end?

I hope I have explained this well enough to get an answer.

Any idea on when you might be adding in the ability for users other than Administrators and Editors to add projects from the front end?
