Front Page Widget Not Working

I’m trying to add text to the front page widgets. However, while the front page banner widgets and footer widgets do show up once activated, the front page widgets are not showing up. I’ve made sure I’m using the front page template and have a static front page, but nothing I’ve tried has worked.
