[resolved] Front Page Widget Images & Slow Mobile Loading (5 posts)

    Hello again,

I absolutely love the front page widgets in this theme! However, I've noticed a few problems that might be a theme issue.

I read the Celestial Lite Setup for these widgets and I understand that the theme will size down the images in the front page widgets. Which it appears to do when I view the site on my PC. However, when I printed the homepage, the images were full size and, on the mobile site, it takes a long time for these images to load.

I've tried scaling the images, but for some reason this is not correcting the problems. Can anyone offer suggestions?

    Many thanks!

Thanks for the great comment...however, when you say printed, are you referring to actually printing out the page on a printer?

One way to ensure the image sizing, is to create images and upload them for this part of the site for the size you need. For instance, with the demo site for this theme, I made the thumbnails only 270x125 pixels when I uploaded them. This should help if you were using extra large photos....although you already said you scaled the images.

Not sure why it's taking long to load, but usually this will be a result of lots of scripts loading in the background.

    Thanks for your prompt response!

Yes, I was referring to an actual printed page on a printer. When printed, the images take up an entire page.

I scaled them down to 206x201, but that hasn't helped I believe they were much larger when I uploaded them). I will edit the images and play around with it some more.

I assumed that the delays in mobile loading were due to the large images, is that assumption incorrect? The website is: http://www.nichee-llc.com.

    Many thanks!

I think reloading the images fixed both issues - as always, many thanks!!
