Front page doesn't display my latest posts (3 posts)

I've just picked up the blog for the company I work for. Strangely, my latest posts aren't being posted to my front page. I've made the proper settings in Settings>Reading. I've also checked to make sure that the posts are actually posting (the permalink is set and working). I've also checked to make sure it has the right category. To be quite honest, I cannot see any difference between the old posts on the front page and these new posts.
It seems the only way I can get my posts to appear on the front page is by using the 'Sticky' function.
Has anyone got any ideas? I'm fresh out!

Hey alchymyth. We're using the Twenty Eleven theme. I'm afraid I don't know how to check the theme template front-page.php - I looked in 'Themes' but there's nothing like that there.
