it's a strange phenomenon. I configured a static front page as described in codex. It had worked just fine for quite a while including Frontpage Manager and Private! WordPress Access Control Manager.
Than i played around with core private option for posts marking a lot as private. Also i deleted the default wp-admin shifting all posts to the new admin user. I cannot recall doing anything else that might influence this. Making a long story short at some point i noticed the second user i have wouldn't see neither front page nor blog page. This still holds true after disabling and conpletely reinstalling both plugins in any combination. The phenomenon is most curious as in only these two url cases the redirect url is from / and /blog/ to /wp-login.php. Otherwise the redirect url will be complex with redirect_to= and reauth=1 arguments. Even reinstalling core from within wordpress wouldn't help.
Any ideas will be much apprechiated as i don't know where else to look at by now! Thanks, Björn
