   Hi All,

   I'm looking for a plugin or series of plugins and I hope someone can help. I'm building a site with a directory or cataloge of registered users. My issue is I want this all to be integrated with my front-end of the website and not be control from the back-end.

   I have found this members' directory tutorial, but I want a way to have a registration and login form on the frontend and also to have a My Profile section on the front end where logged in users can edit/update heir profile.

   Some googling of "wordpress members directory" was useful. Plus check out Customize Your Community Plugin

   wordpress default user management sucks. I end up creating from scratch but still using wordpress functions.

   That what this blog post was talking about: http://www.cozmoslabs.com/2010/05/31/wordpress-user-registration-template-and-custom-user-profile-fields/ but its specific to thematic framework.

   With some work, I think I can make a generic User Registration page that is customized to my needs. Specifically for membership purposes, every other script is about making money on this post and that post but, I just want genuine content protection via user access level, but with a custom front-end user registration and management, without having to access the backend.
