Front end profile not showing up (6 posts)

    Hello there,
    First of all I want to thank you for this amazing plugin, however, I'm having some problems with it. when pressing on the Edit Profile in the admin panel it should show me the front end form that comes from Theme My Login, however, it redirects to the main page instead.
    There must be something with the permalinks and flushing but the plugin is huge so I don't know where to look, can you please give me an indication to where it could come from? I'm a PHP developer so I can fix it my own.
    I must mention that I don't use the shortcode for theme my login. simply because I have a custom page, could that be the problem?
    Appreciate your answer!
    Regards,
    Baseem

    It could be. May I ask what you custom page consists of?

    This:

    <?php get_header(); ?>

    <?php theme_my_login(); ?>

    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    However, I don't think it should be related to the profile page, also the register page doesn't show up. basically, only the login page shows up.

    With permalinks I have the same problem too, although I'm using shortcodes.

    This code:

    [one_half][theme-my-login default_action="register"][/one_half]
    [one_half_last][theme-my-login default_action="login"][/one_half_last]

    shows up two identical login forms.

    Ok, so I figured out how to make it work in weird way, I used
    <?php echo do_shortcode('[theme-my-login default_action="register"]'); ?>

    However, now I'm facing another problem. it's the error messages, nothing shows up when I enter wrong login details. tried to call the error functions of wordpress myself, didn't work, disabled other plugins and tried, didn't work.
    any suggestions?

    My theme page code looks like this:

    <?php
    /*
    If you would like to edit this file, copy it to your current theme's directory and edit it there.
    Theme My Login will always look in your theme's directory first, before using this default template.
    */
    ?>

    <?php if (is_page('login')) { ?>
    	<style type="text/css">
    		.entry-header {display:none}
    	</style>
    <?php } ?>

    <script type="text/javascript">

    jQuery(function(){

    	jQuery('.expand-login').toggle(
    			function(){ jQuery('.login-form').show('slow'); },
    			function(){ jQuery('.login-form').hide('slow'); }
    			);
    });

    </script>
    <div class="login" id="theme-my-login<?php $template->the_instance(); ?>">

    Much of TML doesn't work properly if your theme is not properly utilizing The Loop.
