Is there any difference between wp for windows and wp for Linux?
I want to move my site from windows Xampp server to Ubuntu Lampp server.
If I place my site in the Linux htdocs folder and import the database will the site work properly?

as far as you are concerned, no.

wordpress works when its set up properly. if what you wrote above is what you need to do, then yes.
