   hi, I have a small site with some posts installed locally using xampp.
   I would like to move them by ftp to my server. I have tried and failed.
   any tips.
   It also puzzles me where excactly wordpress stores the posts ?
   any ideas

   Why not use the Tools->Export on your local install, then Tools->Import->WordPress on your site install?
