   I've noticed on the Freshly Pressed page that some blogs are blogname.wordpress.com while others are simply blogname.com. Are only sites hosted by wordpress eligible for Freshly Pressed?

   I use the WP 3.5 format/software, but never get the perks of other blogs on wp.com

   Yes, only wp.com has this feature and it is not for self hosted wordpress sites.

   So why do some blogs I read that are .com's get Freshly Pressed? Is that only for .com's that WordPress hosts?
