Fresh install, GitHub auth only, not working

Just created a fresh instance on WPEngine, I’ve added no other plugins, I only activated GitHub (selected Yes, added correct key/secret). When I attempt to login with GitHub, I get an error that says:

You cannot access this page directly.

Any idea why that’d be showing up? I dug through all the options, read the docs, and it seems like I didn’t miss anything. Do I need to enable some other networks for this to function?

Looking forward to using the plugin!

PS: ran the compatibility test, everything passed.
