free theme with a vertical menu and changeable header image

HI I am reworking a website for a client, who happens to be a charity so they don’t pay this means that I can only use free themes and plug ins etc unfortunately I’m having trouble finding a suitable theme for what they need.

I need a theme that:

has a vertical menu (preferably ion the left)

has a header image next to the menu that I can change to theirs (this more or less wants to fill the top half of the home page.

will let me add widgets to the home screen (not just in the footer)

needs to be free

any help here would be greatly appreciated as I have been searching fro ages and am at the end of my wits.
