Forums sidebar on none-bbPress pages?

I created /new-posts/ on my site and set its parent to be /forums/ (another page I created and added [bbp-forum-index]). I have a forum-specific sidebar activated and populated. But that sidebar doesn’t show on /new-posts/.

I’m guessing this is because my new page isn’t actually part of bbPress, even though it’s using a bbPress shortcode. Is there a workaround to this?

Yeah, it’s because the bbPress function that we use for detection isn’t present. You might be able to use Genesis Simple Sidebars, which will offer you a metabox when you are editing a page allowing you change out what sidebar shows.
