Forum Suddenly Stopped Working

Hi,

I didn’t touch my blog for a couple weeks. Then yesterday I went to the blog and found that it is now displaying the error message below:

I was wondering if anyone else’s wordpress blog suddenly started displaying the following error:

Warning: main(/home/selfeste/public_html/blog/wp-includes/wp-db.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/selfeste/public_html/blog/wp-settings.php on line 73

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ‘/home/selfeste/public_html/blog/wp-includes/wp-db.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/selfeste/public_html/blog/wp-settings.php on line 73

It’s strange because I didn’t touch the blog since it was last working, so it’s not like I moved around files and messed something up.

If anyone has experienced this, what did you do to fix it? Confused

You should probably check with your hosting support staff to see if they “upgraded” something – like apache, perl, php, mysql…. or if they did something else odd like move servers and dns or something.
