   Can anyone recommend a forum plugin I could use with WP 2.6. It needs to be highly and easily customisable.

   I also need something that will allow me to show latest forum posts on the index of my wordpress site.

   Not really integrated any forums myself, but maybe you could consider Simple:Press.

   It seems to be one of the only advanced plugins that integrate well with WordPress that is compatible with 2.6. bbPress is still only available for up to 2.5.1 only.
