Can you disable GES and then try and resave the group settings page and see if your forum is lost?

If this happens without GES, then this is a bbPress problem.

Group settings save OK with the GES plugin disabled.

Seems to be something to do with GES as the dissociation happens when I change the email settings for the group.

    So:
Dashboard/View groups/Edit a group – “Yes. I want this group to have a forum.” is ticked
Visit site/Groups/View group/Admin/Settings/Change email settings for the group/Save.
Go back to Dashboard/View groups/Edit a group – “Yes. I want this group to have a forum.” is now ticked. Also, if I go to the group and click the Forum tab, I get a 404.

Just checked. I disabled GES and went to a group’s “Admin > Settings” tab. I clicked on “Save” and this removed the “Forum” tab afterwards.

This appears to be either a BuddyPress or bbPress problem and not the GES plugin.

    Looking further into it.

Confirmed to be a bbPress bug.

Thanks r-a-y. Amazing. I applied the patch and it’s working fine. Props for the speedy response!
