For some reason some form fill areas on my site turn yellow in firefox. On my index it's the newsletter subscribe. On my contact page it's the search box and one form line of the contact form. Why is it doing this? Also the search box looks different than the other form boxes in firefox, is this a css issue? They all look the same in Safari. http://www.michaeldoig.net
    Thanks,

Wasn't there a plugin for firefox that made form fields yellow? I seem to remember having one installed a long time ago. Check and see what extensions you're running because I don't get the yellow highlight on any of your fields.

The searchbox style is definitely css related. If you look in your style.css you'll see a section for your searchbox.

How interesting that this turned up today. I have the opposite problem -- in IE just one of my form fields (for comments -- the middle one) turns pale yellow. All other fields are properly white, and all fields are white in FF.

Do you have the google toolbar installed? If so, that's what's causing it.

Kickass, was that for me or for the original poster? Husband does have google toolbar installed in IE -- why would that only affect one of the fields?

Well, I DON'T have the goog toolbar installed, and sometimes random fields turn yellow in FF for me. *shrug* No clue why, and as long as they work like they're supposed to I don't really care.

    This might help.
click on options in the toolbar go to autofill settings and uncheck the box at the bottom that says Highlight fields on web pages that autofill can update in yellow.

    worked for me.
