Formatting tables in blog posts? (2 posts)

Hi. I noticed that cutting and pasting tables from Word has mixed results. It seems like if I format it correctly in Word, then it will display accurately in the blog but I cant seem to adjust them at all once in the blog editor. What is the best method? Is there a way to edit the tables within the WordPress editor?

I downloaded a table add-in and it is way more involved than I want to deal with. If I have to use an add-in, what is the simplest?

    Thanks,

    Laurie

    ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry bout that any way answering your question...

That is webdesign 101..... DO NOT EVER PASTE ANYTHING FROM WORD!!!!

word contains its own markup that is also copied when you paste generally speaking you should cleanse information by posting into notepad first.

On your other post i posted a plugin this has a paste from word feature that may help you a little.

Tables can be notoriously tricky when starting web design, i still cringe when i have to make a big table.

I think a plugin maybe the best solution for your needs however try the TinyMCE advanced paste from word you might just get lucky

    Best of luck

    Cheers
    Nick
