formatting problems (3 posts)

    I am experiencing major problems with the formatting of our posts (http://ra-blog.org/).

    The main problem is with spacing. every time I view the post it ignores the double spacing between the paragraphs so that the post ends up looking like one long paragraph. I also seem to find that there is a section where the spacing is different to the rest of the post.

    Another problem is with the colour of the text. It automatically publishes all the text as grey text instead of black. I have no idea why or how this is happening.

    Could there be a problem with our chosen theme, Theme 253?

    Hi. Yes, the issues that you stated above are contained in your theme, luckily, they are easy to fix.

    Double Spacing: Your theme's stylesheet has removed the margin and padding for all paragraphs. You will need to edit the following lines of style.css in you theme:

    p {
    	padding:0px 0px 0px 0px;
    	margin:0px 0px 0px 0px;
    }

    change this to:

    p {
    	padding:0 0 1em;
    	margin:0;
    }

    As soon as this is done, you will notice that there are giant spaces between your paragraphs, this is because there are a lot of empty paragraphs in your posts - you can remove these by using the "code" view of the visual editor in "Manage Posts".

    Font Color: Your font color looks black to me, but this may be becase you "forced" it with span tags in your posts. You can change this in your style sheet too. Change:

    body{
    	padding:0;
    	margin:0;
    	background:#FFFFFF;
    	width:100%;
    	vertical-align:top;
    	font-family: arial;
    	color:#77858B; line-height:14px; font-size:13px;
    }

    to

    body{
    	padding:0;
    	margin:0;
    	background:#FFFFFF;
    	width:100%;
    	vertical-align:top;
    	font-family: arial;
    	color:#000; line-height:14px; font-size:13px;
    }

    Hope this helps,
    -Mike

    Mike, thanks for your suggestions. I did everything that you mentioned but it doesn't seem to have helped. Do you have any other suggestions?

    I have posted a sample of the problem.
