• I am having an issue with my site http://www.smtsmodels.com using the Twenty Eleven theme.

    If you click the Home, Cars, Sky Classics, Special Projects or Contact pages the header image or the actual page itself does not move from left to right. However, if you click either the Blog or Services page and then click on any of the other pages the whole page move slightly either left or right.

    I have tried removing the text from both the Blog and Services pages and creating new pages, however, they still cause the same issue.

    Is the theme trying to do some sort of resizing?

  • Have you edited the theme in any way?

    I have edited the style.css to increase the column width:

    /* One column */
    .one-column #page {
    max-width: 940px;

    Changing this to different sizes makes no difference on the issue I am experiencing.

    I also have Jetpack installed and I am making use of the CSS Stylesheet Editor so to not display titles on each page:

    .entry-title {
    display: none!important;
    }

    I have tried removing this and testing, however, still same problem both in IE and Firefox?

    [No bumping]

    Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the twentyeleven folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    Then, create a child theme for your changes. Or use a custom CSS plugin.

    Thanks for getting back to me Esmi.

    I did as you said with the theme, however, I still have the same problem.

    I am using the CSS plugin from Jetpack and have now correctly added the ‘One column’ code piece of code. With or without these changes the issue remains?

    What happens if you switch back to the parent theme?

    I tried the ‘Twenty Twelve’ theme and it works fine, page does not move around.

    When I go back to the ‘Twenty Eleven’ theme my issue returns. I tried removing the header image I am using, however, this makes no difference.

    I guess I can use the Twenty Twelve theme. I would like to know what is going on though!?

    I have already done this Esmi as you requested before. Do I need to do it again?

    The theme currently active on your site is not the original Twenty Eleven theme.

    I did it again and removed anything I had in the Jetpack CSS plugin. Still same problem!

    I have checked all the theme files on the server and they are original so I do not understand why this is happening?
